Team Sharing Inc, headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, uses social networking, community activism, grief services, and advocacy to provide support and solace to grieving families impacted by the opioid epidemic. Cheryl Juaire Founded the group in 2015 to support parents who have lost a child to an overdose. Through Team Sharing these parents can meet and support one another.
Cheryl Juaire started Team Sharing after her son Corey tragically died of an overdose at age 23. After his death, her family did not know any other parents who had lost a child to an overdose. Two and half years after Corey passed away, she received an invitation to meet other mothers who had lost a child to an overdose. It was then that she knew how much grieving parents needed one another.
Since starting in Massachusetts, Team Sharing has expanded to multiple states, including: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia
To achieve its mission, Team Sharing has partnered with independent grief groups, like Boston Grief Group and The Sun Will Rise in Boston, MA as well as H.A.L.O. 34 (Healing After Loss from Overdose) in Winchester, MA. Truth Sharing also partnered with the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation for summits on opioid awareness across the country, and assisted with the short film “If Only”
To accelerate the charitable endeavors that are consistent with its mission, Team Sharing has developed and operated the Benevolent Assistance Program to assist parents in defraying costs and expenses incurred after the loss of a loved one to substance use disorder. If you or someone you know needs assistance, please print and complete the application, and return to Team Sharing via USPS mail.
