National Data
Nearly 97,000 people died from a drug-related overdose in the U.S. in the 12-month period ending in June 2024,1 and about 76% of those deaths involved an opioid.²
On average, 202 people died daily from an opioid-involved overdose in in the U.S. in the 12-month period ending in June 2024 – a 33% increase from 2019.¹,²
